I based this write on a song of long ago.....
Notes From The Author:

Wind me up, let me go (Cliff Richard)

I'm just a little tin soldier in your hands
I'm good for nothing but to obey your commands
You've never really loved me i know
So wind me up let me go

I'm just a play thing till you see someone else
And then you leave me alone on the shelf
But even tin soldiers have hearts don't you know
So wind me up let me go

You don't really need me you've a hundred other toys
And tear drops don't look good in the eyes of soldier boys

So pick me up and hold me one more time
That's just consolation for this heart of mine
Whisper a sweet word to the one who loves you
So then wind me up let me go
Then wind me up let me go

Rag Doll Madison Connor (FlashBack Challenge)

Each day the fear grows within my heart
As I watch us slowly drifting apart
Your worlds your own
Where I seem no longer more to belong
To busy with others that mean so much more
Yet I always pretend that all is right
Just want to dream with you every night
To stretch out my hand

Tell you all is okay
That's not possible as I am not part of your day
I long to hug you and hold you tight
Look into your eyes so blue, beautiful and bright
Now just that Rag doll in your hands
Good for nothing but to obey your commands
A play thing until you tire and put me back on the shelf
But even rag dolls have hearts don't you know
To you I gave all, me, complete and whole
A love so uncomplicated and unconditional
Forever, always and a day
I Know you don't really need me
You have a hundred other toys
And teardrops don't look good in the eyes of a Rag doll
Please pick me up just for one more time
Hold me close let me hear the beat of your heart one more time
That will be consolation for this heart of mine
And I will pretend again all is alright
And when you asleep at night
From this shelf I can watch over you
And dream the dreams I had for you and me
Looking down on all the memories we once shared
And think of all the best times we knew
Seek for the laughter with angels in the sky
My backgrounds will be filled with colours of you
And softly the angels will be playing our song
I'll be wishing you happiness all the way long
The willow now weeping and the bugle does call
As I cannot stand up again from where I did fall
The promises made and promises broken
Are far to much for me to enfold
For love takes two and their hearts beat as one
For ever and ever their love must be as one
And teardrops don't look good in the eyes of a Rag doll
So lift me up and hold me close one more time
Then you can put me back on the shelf
With all the others that have landed there too
I will always be loving you from this shelf
