"Basketball, Hoops, and Everything in Between"

Poetry By: Christian Taylor

A sports poem that I wrote back in 2003; there's no rhythem to it, but its kinda fun to go back to see how my poetry was back in high school.

Passing the ball to fellow teammates,

Dribbling from side to side;

Passing the opponent players trying to take the ball away.

You make a lay-up in towards the basket.

You shoot; ball leaves your hand.

Holding your breath; a moment of suspense.

Bouncing on the hoops rim; silence falls in the gym.

It goes in; the crowd goes wild!

The game is yours!
