Write a status,
Write on a wall,
What's everyone up too,
What's on your mind?
Post a picture,
Write a comment,
Add a friend,
Ignore or confirm?
Time passing by,
Time wasted,
No time on what's important,
All time spent on the social network.
Numbers go up on the list,
Write on their wall,
Few return the favor,
Sound familiar?
The network consumes me,
All time spent on it,
Accomplishing very little,
Obsession over acceptance.
Privacy nonexistent,
Who will see?
Only everyone,
Post it for all eternity.
Need to get away,
Need to escape the social network,
Face with reality of the book,
I'm an addict.
Hours turn to days,
Days turn to months,
Time away equals creative lives,
And happier days.
Avoiding the facebook of high school,
Avoiding the drama,
Avoiding the social network,
Taking control of my life.
Dignity where you stand,
Have morals for yourself,
Keep what's private; private,
Realize the importance of you.
I'm an addict of facebook,
Two weeks without the social network,
And I'm still breathing,
Are you an addict of the network?
