A line for a line
A rhyme for a rhyme
A point of view to make a point
Words have meaning for words of praise
Words have meaning for words of criticism
Feelings going through a swing of emotions
Shock, anger, displeased, sadness
For the record
No work is a work of perfection

Writing to write a good work
Words go on paper without having to speak
Perceptions are not always clear
Believing its top-notch material
Its only when the perceptions
Of names to unknown faces do reality sets in
Poorly, horrible, childish, inexcusable
Do such words come into mind of those
That read the words of your work
For the record
Careless I was to think my work was good enough

Swallowed was my pride
Going back to the planning stages
Carefully I look and look for errors
Checking it once, or twice, or maybe more
Criticism has its pros
We do not think to believe them
But in the end, it makes those who write
Write better pieces of work
Work that others will appreciate
For the record
Taking the good along with the bad
Only makes you a better writer
