A poem I wrote while going through a rough time in my life.

Gone were the days of yesterday;

Long faded into obscurity.

The days of simplicity have all, but past on.

Now, days of hard times and hardship fill the void.

Gone was the feeling of care to a precious world I've lived.

Now feeling just cold, emptiness, and loneliness I feel.

Gone, gone, gone!

Now, I'm gone!

Gone were the people that once cared and called friends.

Now they spread lies and stab me in the back.

Gone was the light from my blue eyes;

Now the eyes show a soul that is all, but nonexistent.

Gone was the faith I once had; that has long since faded into obscurity.

Still hold enough to make me believe without self-inflection.

Gone, gone, gone!

Now I'm gone!

Gone were the pleasures of what I once loved dearly.

Now, hold little interest to me to trade for wanting to hide and avoid those around.

Gone was the life I've always had; so full of excitement and anticipation.

Scarred, bruised, and hurting of life; a cruel world we live and breathe.

Gone, gone, gone!

Now I'm gone!
