"Hope is Not Lost"
Careless of a whisper,
Does the truth exist?
Faces with no names,
Casually walk pass without a word spoken.
Curiously wonder about one's destiny,
As those around seemed to ignore a troubled soul,
Without a shred of concern in their selfish ways.
Appalled by the people's careless ways,
Slowly approached the helpless soul; outside was years of thick skin,
But clear was the pain in his eyes.
'Hope was lost,' he spoke, despair in his voice.
Could feel the pain of his soul,
And the look of lost and despair in his eyes.
Extended my hand out; bewildered he seemed at first.
Slowly he grabbed my hand; helped ascend him onto his feet.
'All is not lost your only lost in the storm,' I spoke with concern.
He cracked a smile; as if his soul was free of despair.
Freedom was the soul; for only way to go now was up.
