Again at this state,
Of misery and saddness,
You left me with nothing,
But a broken heart,
And fading memories,
Why did you promise me,
Only to take it all away?

My dreams left in pieces,
Like shattered glass,
Of what it was,
Still love you,
Despite, the pain you bestowed onto me,
Emptiness fills this place now,
Everywhere I look,
Reminds me of you,
Of the promise you made,
Only to break that promise,
In the end.

My soul still aches,
For your warmth and soul,
Still dream of nights,
Together as one,
As one heart,
And when our love was at its strongest,
Girl, we had it all,
But, you left to give your heart,
To someone else,
Leaving me blindsided with disbelief.

Worry not,
I'll be better in time,
It still hurts,
But prevail I will,
You can live with knowing,
You will never,
Never find another me,
Its your lost,
Not mine,
I'll promise this,
Never again does the one like you,
Hurt my soul and heart,
A promise,
That'll never be broken.
