A poem about what happens when you have those 'what if' questions about whether the decisions you made were good choices or not.

Here I stand
In this empty space
Staring at this photograph
When we were once happy
And when love was in our eyes
Left with this question
Playing in my mind
What if
I had never let you go?
Would you still be
The girl I used to know?
But I guess
We'll never know

As I walk through
This empty house
These walls still
Remind me of what was
The nights we embraced
The days we fought
The moments we treasured
But now I'm left to wonder
What if
I had never let you go?
Would you still be
The girl I used to know?
But I guess
We'll never know

Memories forever remain
As tears of sadness
Fill my eyes
Wishing I could
Feel your skin
Next to mine
Now I'm lost
And left to wonder
What if
I had never let you go?
Would you still be
The girl I used to know
But I guess
We'll never know
