When I first saw you at a glance

I knew straight away, I didn’t have a chance

You skin had a nice bronze glow

And a six pack you wasn’t afraid to show

Then all of a sudden you walked towards me

I thought “what on earth did you see”

But then your clear voice said “love, how are you today”

You then left me speechless, I didn’t know what to say

He wrapped his fingers around my curly blonde hair

Just for that moment, I didn’t have a care

The next day, we walked hand in hand

For miles and miles over the warm squelchy sand

Then you asked me “will you be my one”

“Yes” I called and suddenly all my worries were gone

There are many more memories, I have of you

I always thought it would be just us two

I still think about you every day

It was a year this May

A year without my special friend

Why did your life have to end?

In that crash, it should have been my life and not yours

All I was left with is a few sores

And the heartbreak and sadness of that horrible may

I love you... like I have done everyday
