My Last Breath, On A Starry Night

Poetry By: ClaireBearandMyrnin
Poetry

My second attempt at poetry, I like the Grim Reaper so I decided to do a poem about what its like to get carried off by him. I AM NOT A SATENIST: Just noting, my friends say I am.

The stars shine bright

Far up in the night, What wonders, what Delights, can be seen In the night?

His eyes are like the stars, so much hidden There,

Forever I could just

Stare, into the eyes

Of death,

Heaving

My last breath,

Here comes death,

Like an assassin in The Night, here he comes,

To take me on an

Eternal flight,

Away, away I go,

In death's Cold yet welcoming Embrace,

I rest my weary Head on his shoulder,

Hush now, he says To me, rest now,

Sleep child of flesh

And blood, rest thy

Weary bones, and So I now rest, my

Body and soul

against the Reaper's bony Frame, to his castle

Now we fly, so very

High, to his castle

In the night
