I fill my head with the scents of Jerusalem,

In ever-changing variety.

The shining sepulcher, a wall of stone tears,

a dome, a mosque, a rock.

I fill my head with the scents of Jerusalem,

A place betwixt the green and brown,

Searching still, forever split

Schismatic, a rifting, widening, its own

Megiddo.

Jerusalem, my city of contradiction,

My temple of paradox,

Lost within itself.

Wow.....Captured the city beautifully and so perfectly.....What a wonderful poem....This really gives the essence of Jerusalem. Maybe needs a bit more...hm...not emotion, but maybe...structure?
Overall a great poem...Love it
