I'm a Survivor

I am one of the lucky ones
that escape from danger.
I now know better
to choose carefully.

You said you love me
and look after me,
but all you did was to hurt me.
You had me isolated ,
where I could not run.
But look at me now.
 
I am here away from you.
I have a life now.
and I thank all my friends,
for their support they gave.
Here is a big hug’s.

I am a survivor
of your abuse and never
look back only go forward.
I now laugh at you
for you are still there
where you started, I am here
Going ahead and on with life.
