Pain of a Concrete Angel

She's an angel stuck in this demented thing we call life.

Sometimes better labled as Hell on Earth.

Her wounds so deep, so deep, though not visible like those of a knife.

She tries to keep those tears from tarnishing her concrete cheeks.

Worse still, she knows, she knows she brought this hurt on herself.

Her reasons for living this life, she still seeks.

Realization dawns and her pain is deserved.

Begining to wonder if her place in Heaven is still reserved.

Although lifetimes of sorrow, on her have been dealt.

Lashing out in her own cruel ways to return pain she has so long felt.

LIFE! what a messed up thing it truly is.

Making her walk around, on the surface hard as concrete.

Family nor friends know how much weight her soul bears.

Her features do good to hide what she's feeling as her mind and anothers meet.

One day this Angels soul will finally be put to rest.

Her pain and the pain she caused others will no longer be seen a pest.

She finds herself lucky and blessed that his forgiveness might be received.

Her human instincts will no longer be used to deceive.
