Life is a journey
We are the passengers
Sometimes we take a stroll in the park -
Going ever so slowly,
Taking in the beautiful scenery,
Embracing the present for all it is worth
Other times we look down from the sky -
The view from our airplane window,
Shows us our past,
Our memories,
The bitter and the sweet
Occasionally we get all strapped in -
Seated in a shuttle headed for space
At super-human speed,
We rush into the future,
Preparedto land in a place unexpected
Life is a journey
We will forever be the passengers.
