Winter That I Love

Poetry By: Corinne Smith

Ah the comforts of winter.

The caw of the birds

Brings a smile without words

The chill of the air

Leaves my skin feeling bare

The purr of my kitty

She is so soft and pretty

The shudder of my shoulder

Fading as I hold her

The blanket that surrounds me

Relaxing as the calm sea

The cozy bit of heat

Like candy sugary sweet

Oh winter that I love

You are tender as a dove
