Unjust Guilty Plea

How did I ever wrong you

I did nothing but offer you love

I never ever hurt you

But my feelings you push and shove

Life was going great

It seemed to be getting better

I was trying to be happy

And with such ease my self-worth you just shatter

You're the Judge, Jury, and Executioner

And I'm the one on trial

One mistaken thought and it's all over

You give no time for rebuttal

You don't give a shit

You don't have the slightest care

I'm sat in the chair and strapped down tight

As you throw the switch saying the judgments fair

Well I hope this makes you happy

And helps you sleep at night

I'll take the unjust guilty plea

And die to your hearts delight
