Knowing how much time was left to exist,
it gained value immeasurable.
He knew not the power to quit nor persist
could make life more intangible.
For the problem found in intelligent life
and the word encyclopaedia.
Is that fact and truth replaces strife,
instincts mere documents in media.
He looked up time and jumped at the sight
of a clock counting down from mere seconds.
Incomprehensible to put up a fight
when the end did more than just beckon.
Looking up he cried to the sky
desiring divine intervention.
The voice it said ‘the end is nigh’
for that is Darwin’s intention.
