The silver song fades in the shadowy dust
One day ends, as night approaches
Hey, do you remember
The days when there was no end
When our love was beautiful like the last rose of September.
When shooting stars flew across our minds
And filled us with ecstasy
Filling us with wonders and hopes of tomorrow
That day you told me
The day the silvery song faded into ashes
When night came for me, and day never arose
When the gentle love spell broke
Our fingers entwined one last time
I knew you would never be mine.
