I hear the bombs
I see the fire
All the soldiers
They point those guns
I’m a child of War
I know what war is
I have the hurt
Our family slowly crumbles
I watch my home fall
As I keep standing
Only as a child of war
My father
He fights for us
But those other soldiers
They had to kill him
I may be a child of war
But I don’t know the meaning
Of all this blood
Of all this death
Everyone else is falling
But I’m still standing
I’m a child of war
A bomb hit my house today
Only mother and I are left
Mom only cries
I know she’s sad
She wants the war to end
She can’t watch the fighting
She holds me close
She’s the mother of War
The mother of war,
And the child of war
You’ll find them sitting in the burning house
The mother holding her child
Her child of war.
