You open the window
You feel the breeze
The curtains lightly curve and bend
You see the sun
The clouds slowly passing through
You stick your head out
The rain drops cool you down
You look at the puddles
The ripples from all those kids
Jumping with the laughter and smiles
That used to be you
Yeah, it used to be you
Before you lost the laughter
Before you lost the freedom
You left go of your wings
You closed the curtains
Forgot about those around you
Only knew what you thought was you
You slowly come back to reality
As you climb out the window
Sit on the roof
Look at the sparkling stars
The holes in heaven
Oh, my family
You say
Would you be proud of me
You climb down the vine
You look at the street lamp just above your head
As you take your first steps
Your new life
The curtains can’t close
Your spreading your wings
Your ready to fly.
