Temptation, it screams,

seeps through the breaks,

threatens the sane,

this world of hate,

is more than I can take,

but I wont break,

God give me strength.

Attractive, it's needed,

to cure, the demons.

tease the hurting,

taunt, I'm curing

wont quit screaming,

oh, how alluring.

Need, it's overwhelming,

I cant stop crying,

but I'll die fighting,

I wont give, in to its sad lying.

Guilt, for thoughts,

I've fought for long,

yet still distraught,

for how I want.

Pulls me in,

I'm holding on,

be my rock,

so I wont fall,

into the trap,

of the damned,

the forgotten,

the stolen.

The guilt of cutting,

it gives you nothing,

you wont stop hurting,

please stop believing,

the lies it's feeding.

Skin,

so innocent,

it rips,

at our foolishness ,

so fragile and thin,

it protects, but gives in,

the blade is too strong,

strong when we're not,

but that's not all.

Look, not cut deeper,

it's transparent,

the blade with malice,

the price?

Your conscience.

It is not worth scars,

and your worth more ,

so don't give in,

to its metallic allure.
