so long and barren was the view. There was no life but the Earth's. Nothing to lead her way or inspire her to hope. The path ahead was covered over and the sun's glare off the blanket left her blinded and squinting. She shielded her eyes and shoved the other hand in her pocket. It was cold and undesireable but she stode into the deserted scene anyway. She stummbled across a few illusions here and there wondering why such false hopes only warm your skin but never your heart. She was so cold and alone bt that wouldn't keep her from a strength she new she had inside. Memories of those that have needed her in the past reminded her there are those who will need her in the future. The farther she went the deeper it got slower her and finally pulling her down. She laid in her place, frozen with hurt. Yet still her memories called from her sould begging she try to keep moving. So she did one long reach at a time she moved across the space. A movement caught her eye. She was curious, raising to her feet slowly, for the chance at a better view. He was hard to make out behind whirling confusion but there he stood. He smiled at her attention, holding out a hand. He'd been lost out there as well. Together they broke through to the otherside. Success was theirs to bask in and so they did. Standing tall and straight they turned their faces to the sun absorbing the heat and light. When they'd be renewed their path askewd leading them towards each other once again. They strolled down their paths glancing at each other as they went. Once in awhile he'd have something to say to her and she never held back from openly listening. She reached out to him catching a single finger with just one of hers. When he looked she'd tightned hoping he wouldn't mind. He gripped her back as he went back to watch what lay ahead of him. Her everything grew. She faced her uncerinty with that unbreaking grin. She had hope and she felt he had hope. Together their hopes could fly, expanding over the worlf infront of them like the blanket that had brought them closer. They looked at each other again and each time they both smiled for now it was all they may need till their paths crossed over each other. Then they could step off the old ones as they step out to them.
