Destruction of despair

Poetry By: D E A Eastwood

Although a lot of my poems can be quite depressing, I love writing the more motivational things. The kind of work that gives you that shiver of belonging, of hope. Rather than feeling depressed and down in the gutters. Enjoy, and smile

Encase yourself in your metal shell,

Slow to begin and reach the end.

Yet ready,

Ready for the pain.

Your armour strong steel,

Your weapon, your hammer.

Silhouetted against a blood red sky.

A demonic horde of hounds howls ahead,

Your flowing blood creating ecstasy in their veins.

All you can do is smile,

Then look behind you.

The hounds are nothing now,

Legions upon legions of hope.

All stood in their golden shells,

Swords and shields drawn to your aid.

A war cry of hope,

The destruction of despair.

Nobody ever stands alone.
