Marilyn Makeshyft
Interrogated
Her soft pink pillow:

“Why did he reject
Me? Was it because
Of the way my hair
Was coloured and combed

Away from my face?
Or because I have
A slight cast in one
Eye? Or the fact that

I hoot too loud when
I am made to laugh?
Or because I am
A paraplegic

In a small wheelchair
Who cannot open
Her own soft thighs and
Pleasure him a ride?”

She had no answers
To the questions she
Asked her pink pillow,
Because the creep who

Had rejected her,
Was himself abroad,
Possibly with some
Foreign girl who would

Pleasure him a ride
Of copulation,
Beneath a foreign
Body warming sky.
