She and Dave copulated
In the woods behind her house;
There amongst the trees and sharp
Bushes, with birdsong over

Head, a dull sky peering through
Tall treetops, she feeling a
Chill beneath her naked back,
Dave's rough coat rubbing her thighs,

And he, breathing hard, speaking
In that hurried pace, the words
Speckling against her face,
Then taking flight in the air

Like wild, frighten birds, taking
Wing, while she sensing his one
Final thrust, gave nothing there
Away, either in word or

Touch, because it was all too
Little, about all too much.

This has jumped massively in the 'hit parade ' over the past day or so- Is is the sex bit that makes it so popular.
I wrote a small critical piece on this poem which vanished into the eternity of the e-black-hole.
It reminded me of my first awkward fumblings , when I was 16 . The girl was about 20- I told her I was 18. She didn't seem to have a problem with age so we left the dance hall and went out to an open field in the dark, And there through a contortion of unsure movements- what goes where exactly exactly when .. and in the frenetic urgency of the all consuming passion , I was inside her and exploded instantly . She looked at me as if to say whats this ?- but my ecstasy had already been consummated and now almost immediately the guilt and remorse were clouding in with a fierce Jesuitical ferocity ( it was 1963 and damnation and the fires awaited my sinned soul. etc..)So I implored ,pleaded and begged forgiveness ..
So I was pious fro about 3 days , then I asked God to understand me like St Augustine - ' Lord make me better... But not just yet.'- It was a kind of a deal. I could be contrite and pious much later. Not Just Now.
And so my passion triumphed over my piety and a few nights later we were in the field again . This time I lasted all of 2o seconds - she appreciated the improvement , and I was becoming indomitable .

Many years later they pulled down the dance hall / ball room and built a leisure center , right there in my field . I always thought that was quite fitting - though ' pleasure ' might have been a closer choice.
It still stands , proud , erect- No . Not me ! - the Leisure center
