Don't try to Silence Me

Poetry By: Danaby08
Poetry

I survived the hell you put me through and the tourture and lies. The rape and the secrets and the fake smiles I wore on my face. But not anymore.

Don’t try to Silence Me
Because you know
I’m too much for you to handle.
Don’t try to bind me in chains
All the while knowing
I’ll break free.
You should have listened
I told you don’t try to...
Don’t try to Silence me.
I’ve been around long enough
To know something about life
I know not to stay and be your fool.
I have enough pain
To last me many years.
I stayed awake many nights
And cried an Ocean of tears.
I felt so low
That I lost the sight of life
When you raised your hand against me.
I soar it was for the last time.
The last time
That you would ever make a fool of me.
I’ve grown
And I’ve grown,
STRONGER,
WISER,
BRAVER,
And I found COURAGE along the way.
I told you,
It would be the last time
That you raised your hand against me,
I’m fighting back
I’m finally free
I told you…

Don’t try to Silence Me.
