Longing
Who knows the shame of wanting pain?
Of dreaming things you can’t explain.
Of wanting what’s not yours to take.
Can’t control the longing.
Who knows the path that’s right to choose.
For fear that love you might just lose
Don’t take a walk in someone's shoes.
And don’t control the longing.
Who says that life should go one way?
It‘s different in the world today.
Break free. Speak what you want to say.
Don’t try to fight the longing.
Life holds you back, but what is worse?
A lie is different than a curse.
Let your heart speak. That is first.
And welcome in the longing.
