I think my language is pretty *clean* in this poem, yay! More 'The Guy' poems. Ooops.

Five reasons I miss you (but should not):

The ocean has always felt like home to me and
your eyes are the colour of rock pools
just before the storm hits.

I think if my heart was dusted for fingerprints
they would still only find yours.

You were ivy and I was
a tower but I thought you were holding
me together when you were
ripping me apart.

I'm still waiting for you to come back

They said your love was a bomb strapped to
my chest that you'd detonate
just when I thought I'd cut the wires.
