As she laid on the bed so deep in her slumber,
she never took time, to pull up the covers.
The union of two bodies sharing as two turned to one,
a look from her eyes, "oh baby", my heart was then done.
The caressing and exploring still felt right there,
with memories still vivid, as I stroked golden hair.
I sat and I watched, her sleep is now deep,
emotions swell inside, no way I could sleep.
The moment that we just shared, hearts filled with love,
yes, my soul mate was sent, from the heavens above.
But this is not the best part, I want you to see,
it's what happened next, that meant more to me.
I stroked from her thigh to the middle of her chest,
reaching out, took my arm and hugged to her breasts.
she hugging it so tight, as my hand held her face,
I then knew the true feelings, of God's good grace.
I am hoping my memories, are the ones she will keep,
pins and needles in my hand, as it's now falling to sleep.
Removing it was not an option, the numb I would bear,
could have fallen off at the elbow, I didn't really care.
Not ruining her sleep pictures, nor waking my queen,
my thoughts are awake, but her's are in the dreams.
As I lay down behind her, our bodies spoon together,
and sure nothing on this earth could have felt better.
Pins and needles are now coursing my soul inside,
with one wake and one asleep love could not hide.
As my mind now relaxes and I drift off to sleep,
a memory held in the heart and always to keep.
