I hear the words, inside the wind.
My Words On Paper, deep from within.
Three in London, left behind.
Peace inside is hard to find.
She said to me, "I love you Dad".
Giving me the daughter I've never had.
You see I never had children blessed upon me.
For her to say this, has set my heart free.
First time in my life, those words I hear.
Setting a path that I pray becomes clear.
Her innocence was taken so young in life.
For her to trust me has turned on a light.
I promised them all that I would return.
I wanted it bad and the fire still burns.
So I teach and mentor the youth at my job.
Provide needed guidance, at night I then sob.
Because this is what I could be doing for them,
as they are the roses with me as their stem.
With the strength to stand, absorbing the light.
Erasing the past and away from their plight.
This can't be done, so what should I do?
I pray to God provide me a clue.
I know there is more that he see's in me.
I seek the wisdom, Lord set my heart free!
Remove emptiness and abuse with words that I say.
Bringing hope and a smile to one person every day.
Then I can move forward with the promise that I hold.
To bring her broken heart back and in from the cold.
I think of her four words, every day as I am dressing.
and how I can heal others because of Taiwo's blessing.
