A poem about life fixing a broken heart

You were the light that shone in a realm of despair

The guiding beacon when there was nobody there

I allowed you in to the depths of my heart

But instead of unity you tore it apart

The hate before you saved me seemed to be so vast

Yet the blood that flowed from your claws was now ever last

Fading back to blackness yet into deeper hole

Perpetual loss inside me, a void of no control

A wave of pure emotion carried me to places new

Smashed into a rock so hard, breaking into two

Splinters of insanity formed shrapnel that cut deep

Entering your blackened heart, crimson tears you weep

You're your own worst mortal enemy, a weapon of pure bliss

Self-destruct with shattered dreams, destroyed by your own kiss

Broken back into one, my soul now mended true

Shard of broken memories evolve to something new
