The doomed prophecy

Poetry By: Debojyoti
Poetry

The poem is dark and brutally written and though it’s short, this poem describes many things.
In the first paragraph I am mocking at the humans staying on this earth (‘Red blood trickles down my eyes/in the very thought of doomsday, /We will all die, erasing all the lies’). On the second paragraph, I am in the human’s place where I say that we are counting the last moments (‘here we are in this earth, counting our last sins, /Counting the last miseries, last hopes, last moments’) and also I wrote that we lament even for the lives tat will go on the doomsday but after sometime we lament (‘Last lives to live with, for whom the soul laments (afterwards)’). The ‘afterwards’ in the bracket suggests that though we feel sad we feel it after sometime when understand each of them value. It’s a very true phrase. The ending paragraphs are the styles of my poem writing where I write dark things about what should we do to our breath and what will happen to it and our body. The last paragraph is me, who is prophesying about the doomsday.

The doomed prophecy

Red blood trickles down my eyes
In the very thought of doomsday,
We will all die, erasing all the lies.

Here we are in this earth, counting our last sins,
Counting the last miseries, last hopes, last moments
Last lives to live with, for whom the soul laments (afterwards).

And when you go, let your breath rest
Let it take a sigh of relief, the last sigh of relief
For the breath was your best friend, it has to live.

Your breath will freeze, turning into hailstones,
Your pains will have its fatal clones,
Your body will burn in them and you all will turn into stones.

My words are not just mere words,
They are like swords, sharp, bloody swords,
Now cry and get ready to suffer in herds.
