Feeble Minds

Poem By: DefinitionOfSoul
Poetry

I wrote this at 2am, mostly as an outlet. If you're confused by it, I "think" it's an attempt at either schizophrenia or a double personality disorder.
Thanks for reading. View table of contents...

They said our hearts were pure
Innocent and beautiful
They said our minds were translucent
Bearing complete and magnificent thoughts
They said our feet were stable
Bearing our weight gracefully - majestically
They said our eyes shone brilliantly
Quixotically. Inquiringly.
They said our speech was impeccable
Spoken words of warmth.
They said our hands were strong
Grasping our fears and dreams.
They said such marvelous things
Different poles. Different feelings.
They said our hearts were corrupt.
Horrible and demonically tampered with.
They said our minds were clouded
Bearing broken and tormented ideals
They said our feet were weak
Creating our fall
They said our eyes diverted their glance
Fear enveloping any conscious thought
They said our speech was foul
Disgusting and perverted
They said our hands were numb
Unconsciously glued. Deliberately
They said we believed you.
And we did.
They said you were our downfall.
And you were.
They said our spirits were disjointed.
Unexplainably lost.
And we understood..
They said we were two.
And I stared in disbelief.

Interesting.
The moment of epiphany, that would be stunning.
Good stuff.

Indeed. I enjoy writing confusing poetry. =)

Wow! This one is all over the place. But, I enjoyed the journey and can relate to the dichotomy.
