I stand in a tree as the freezing cold wind blows through me

Looking down at the ground

The long grass sways in the breeze

The sent of dove lingers on the leaves

As thefeeling of freedom washes over me

--------------------------------------------------------------

I feel save, absent from the evils in this world

I hug the branch like a lover holds it's other

The moon lights up my face in the dead of the night

While I dream of a world

A world with no need to fight

No need to kill

---------------------------------------------------------------

I slowly discover myself, as my heart leads to another

A feeling of hope, helps me learn to cope

In a world full of anger

Full of hate

And full of pain

--------------------------------------------------------------

MaybeI come across as a crazy girl with mixed up ideas of the world

But I don't have a care for the people that judge me

I feel sorry for them

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I look in the mirror and I see me for whoI am

I wonder if the others could tell me

Just what do they see in me

AmI just a girl about to jump from the tree

I am sure that is what they really want to see.
