Upon the Midnight Scene... ...

Poetry By: Dell Anne Raye
Poetry

Upon all hallow's eve deep within the dark
What may lurk can do more then frighten...

Upon a Midnight scene,

dreary dark and un seen.

Beckoning to the everlasting night.

aware of all nightly frights.

howls of ghostly hounds whispering.

willow trees gently swaying, rustle upon the breeze.

grim reaper's task carried out.

for upon this dreary night,

all things evil long to take our sight.
