It's 12:33

Poetry By: denzy1
Poetry

This poem was written on July 4th, 2013.

I was up at 12:33 and was missing my girlfriend at the time, so I decided to ease my sorrows through poem writing. I wrote a couple personal words until I turned it into a love poem, which I gave more meaning than just my situation.

This poem is about saying goodbye to someone you loved, it is a timelapse of someone going though the pain of missing somebody, but occurs a change of heart.

Enjoy :)

It's 12:33, and you aren't next to me,

the red skies glow brighter,

it hurts more than it seems.

It's 12:36, my heart's still playing tricks,

my judgement still is clouded,

this is no easy fix.

You are gone, I was wrong.

All the disbelief, and saddest songs,

just hurt me all along.

And you were right, every night,

I'm falling more apart,

cause every single breath I take,

will always bring me back to that place.

It's 12:45, How am I still alive?

everything I've loved,

has faded from my eyes.

It's 12:49, well maybe I'll be fine,

maybe I'll just sleep it off,

and then I'll change my mind.

You are gone, I was wrong.

All the disbelief, and saddest songs,

just hurt me all along.

And you were right, every night,

I'm falling more apart,

I hope every single breath I take,

will take me further from that place.

It's 5:51, I'm rising with the sun.

The anxiety is over,

My life has just begun.

Somehow I still feel shame,

I feel you in my heart.

Maybe it's the reason,

I was always torn apart.

I know someday I'll change,

will no longer feel the fear.

Since love is just a feeling,

which isn't worth the tears.

Walk the other way,

leave the negative behind.

And now I know for sure,

that it'll be true love, this time.
