Horizons far don't beckon me
I really never yearned
For snowy slopes and deserts
As I,late in life,have learned
That here upon my mountain
I have all that I could need.
With this beauty all around me
I am fortunate indeed.
I've seen many of Earth's wonders
And I've marvelled at them all.
When settled in my comfy chair
I can most of them recall.
But now my needs are simple
And my thoughts unclouded clear
I realise that all along
My paradise was here.
