My mundane little verse
of doggerel - or worse
Would never excite
Nor whet the appetite
Would never amaze
Nor contain a clever phrase
No vivid picture drawn
No lightbulb moment born.
Just the simplest of rhyme
Why,it's almost a crime
To show this little verse
Of doggerel - or worse.
