Poet 3's Challenge/Armadillos

An armadillo, an armadillo

Really more for function

Than for show

An armored ardvark or something close

On one end a tail

And one end a nose

With bony plates

To protect it from foes

But the only foe that I see has

Are the automobiles going fast

A smashed up cirtter here and there

Makes me cringe

While ride by and stare

Could these tiny tanks be tamed for pets

That's something that I haven't seen yet
