A fading, cascading floral essence clenches my focus
I am limited in this struggle for intamacy
Something or someone is trying at will
Vying for the attention that I am willing to share
In ghost-cloud radiance, I am enshrouded
Like the sorrow of silver moonlight
Floating on the sheets where I lie
We are both aware
Of one another's presence
Yet held far away
Past the cusp of reasoning
Just on the other side of the moment
The tear that falls
Falls forever
Never reaching it's destiny
And the silence screams for me
Your futile attempts elude my senses
In agony eternal
I will beg for your touch
For a whisper
A glimpse
For now, we are a puzzle with no pieces
A love not to be realized
And so it makes the anguish
Oh so much sweeter
