Hammer to Fall
Have you ever waited for the hammer to fall?
Have you sat in the dark and wished an end to it all?
Have you crawled to the light, only dark clouds to blight?
Have you tried with all might, but still lost the fight?
Are you waiting for the hammerto fall?
Have you found yourself on the wrong side of the fence?
Have you cover it up and live in false pretence?
Have you left it too late before shutting the gate?
Have you learn to self-hate, is your ruin deliberate?
Are you waiting for the hammer to fall?
Have you fallen to your knees in front of your peers?
Have you begged of their mercy whilst shedding your tears?
Have you walked the thin blue line, burdened by your crime?
Have you climbed the rocky climb, but found you’re out of time?
Are you waiting for the hammer to fall?
I have waited for the hammer to fall
I have done the above; I am guilty of them all
I have learned from my past, the misery it amassed
I have, my understanding surpassed, my shackles I have cast
I have accepted it all and for the hammer to fall.
