What right do we have to gawp at their lives!

Ohio Three

Last night when I turn on the TV

Watch the news the world to see.

I had enough of the BBC

When in detail was the Ohio Three

After ten years of captivity

One lady was returning home free

Not a thought was given to her dignity

As the press surrounded her aunties property

A news chopper swooped in close to see

Add to the drama for you and me

Be the first to film her on TV

She's not a person, just a commodity!

It was at this point it was enough for me

Be it her joy or her misery

Just bizarre entertainment shamefully

In this rude exposure, I disagree.

How many others are like me?

Angered by the presses duplicity

Pretending to care, whist filming with glee

Sick to the stomach I turned off the TV.

How many of you watched happily?

This circus event uncaringly?

Who sat and gawped into the fish bowl pryingly?

This is not news it is an obscenity!

It's their ordeal, their story

It is not our right, our monopoly

It's their life exclusively

Until they wish to speak, LET THEM BE!
