Bad things and Good things and Pretty things and Ugly things

A flash of light
and soul is loosed from
mortal coil
Leaving behind
a broken image
of wasted youth.
The ground splits beneath
while unfriendly hands
tear into memory of flesh
and draw the soul into darkness
and flame.

Thrust over lakes of curdled
screams and
torturous torment
without near end,
to the visage of a Beast of
sulfur and decay.

Not unlike a god he
pearches upon a throne
of bent and broken bodies
and prepares to pass
eternal judgement.
The soul now lays bare
and prostrate.
A lifetime of sins
to account for.

It screams out for salvation,
it writhes, it fights,
it holds on to memories,
of the good in its life,
of you.
And in this thought
it finds a voice
so powerful as to speak
diectly to God!

It cries out
and all is forgiven.

It cries out
and all is forgotten.

In the silence of eternity,
the soul reaches out
and touches
the hand of God.
