Poetry By: Dino

This is a poem about going back to school after a few years off, it is really interpretive though so maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about... you tell me.

a heart less broke, a joke,
a jest, a jeer.
a place so many mean to fear,
but don't.

a boat, afloat in tears
the salt so close to ocean
water, the captain knows
no difference.
his distance, farther than his

vision. he never sees
the breezes blowing
currents flowing
just around the bend.

the end
is near and actions must
be swift. Decision. He never
knows the tempest blows
just minutes from his

it's over, back to fields
of clover, back to knights,
and clowns, and shake downs,
back to fights, back to books,
back to the drawing board,
back to bored, back to work,
back to strife,
back to no pay, back to dreamless,
back to life.
