Love is wasted. Love is lost

Poetry By: Dino

This is a poem I wrote a long time ago in an old journal of mine that I just recently found. It is about the first time I broke someones heart.

In the failing light I watched her weep

From inside Death's enchanting sleep

Mistaken words will long remain

When flesh is gone, and memories fade

I gave her way to leave me cold

With lies revealed, and truths untold

But never one time did she stray

Or make attempt to run away

No vengefulness did she once show

The night I begged her pack and go

And with no question did she stay

When on my deathbed I did lay

To her from darkness I softly call

But none she can hear, no sound at all

her love is wasted

my love is lost.
