I embrace the rain.
It caresses my skin. Soaks through
flesh and
bone and enters my
soul.
I see all of existance as a moment,
frozen in an instant,
lost in time.
I stare into the eyes of
God there and see
brushfires and bloodshed
carried out under a guise
of morality and a
quest for
peace.
The tears from his eyes
reflect like a mirror
and catch a glimmer of myself
then fall to the soil
beneath.
We have forgotten eachothers language.
And forgotten our own.
So we stand there
in sadness, together
in silence.
In the spaces that
the sunshine has
missed.
