In a letter, in a box, in the fire place

Burnt all the feelings I never could face.

I always had plan B, a second chance

But not here, no time for one last dance.

It’s too late now, there’s no dodging the pain

The words I couldn’t say will always remain.

My soul was tempted by the sparkle in your eyes

What now, you’ll see through all my lies.

The way I acted, how hard I tried to be cool

You were so great, I felt like a fool.

You never got to know how I feel

I’m sorry, but I didn’t want to be love’s next meal.

it's very good, I especialy like the last part about 'loves next meal' I think in line six you meant to say would instead of with? :)

Thanks a lot. Thank you for pointing that out, I made sure to correct that. I meant to say "will" actually, there that should make some more sense. Thanks again.
