I usually feel the need but it's usually easy to avoid, today I'm having a bit more trouble with that...

Three years, six months

Since the day I stopped

Three years, six months

Since I made a promise

A promise to stop

To never do it again

But now...

Now i want to break that promise

Now i want to give in

To the taunting blade

The one sitting across from me

The one calling my name

Three years six months

Since the day I stopped

Three years six months

Since I made a promise

A promise keeping me alive

Away from self harm

A promise I want to break

Now that I'm in pain

Walking back and forward

Dragging my hand down my face

Kicking the wall

Looking at the blade

Three years six months

Since the day I stopped

Three years six months

Since I made a promise

So long I've kept my promise

So long without a new scar

Could I be in so much pain

To break a promise like that...

Humming to myself

I look at the blade

Shining and inviting

Calling my name

Three years six months

Since the day I stopped

Three years six months

Since I made a promise

Smiling to myself

I look down at my wrists

How easy it could be

To slide the tip over them

It's simple really

To reach for it

And press it down

Till my blood flows free

Three years six months

Since the day I stopped

Three years six months

Since I made a promise

So long I've kept my promise

So long without a new scar

Could I be in so much pain

To break a promise like that...
