Weapons Of The Dead

I felt thee autumn progress into winter

Then saw myself wanting all I could want

When the doors to my mind

__opened up in a hurry

To let in the doubts that confuse me

I felt nothing but at ease

With the comfort that was surrounding me

I felt the damage

I felt it all

I felt a lot of things

I even heard my mouth scream

And I felt that it was too much

__to witness

But I am here, confusing myself

I am here, surrendering my all

As I get fat

__the carpet is pulled out from under me

And I fall

Flat on my face

Laughed at, in my disgrace

How the hideousness strikes me

I once was

I once was never

And I may never find my slice of bread again

So slap me if I'm just too real

My heart will climb out of the wreckage

And a loveless inability

Will walk me over the grave

Never knowing my way
