A Painted Picture
-
With an envision of eternity
A gathered whimpering of longing to be
Nowhere to be nowhere
But Heaven will arise
An ease at the brushes strokes
On the canvas of yoke
Jokes are made to laugh at
But this one is not funny
It makes me angry to paint it
How can my hand be so cruelly portraying
My life?
Who can laugh at this?
Is this supposed to be funny?
The painting should be forever hid
In the clutter of trash
In the waste basket
Until it stops being funny
And grows up
'Cause no one is laughing
